The Brown Colours chose Florida defensive tackle Caleb Brantley using the 185th pick within the 2017 National football league Draft on Saturday.

One among the country's top interior defensive position prospects, Brantley fell with the draft after he was billed on suspicion of misdemeanor battery following an alleged physical altercation having a lady earlier this year. Brantley allegedly struck the lady having a fists and knocked her unconscious in Gainesville, Florida, on April 13, based on the Gainesville Police Dept.

The Browns deeply researched the problem and personally visited with Brantley prior to making the pick, per National football league Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

However, Browns executive v . p . Sashi Brown told reporters Saturday they could decide to not keep Brantley. Based on National football league Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala, Brown stated the misdemeanor charge Brantley is facing is "concerning."

"It isn't really something we are able to get confident with,Inch Brown stated.

Brantley joined a few days rated because the 4th-best interior defensive Toronto Blue Jays Jerseys lineman by National football league Network draft expert Mike Mayock, but Rapoport noted Saturday that lots of teams believed the defensive lineman might go undrafted.

The 6-feet-3, 307-pound lineman arrives with lots of questions off and on the area, but he will not get much slack under Gregg Johnson, the brand new Browns defensive coordinator, if he remains around the Browns' roster.
