lingering hip discomfort is exactly what caused Vollmer to initially consider retiring, per National football league Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
His immediate plan after hanging his cleats up? Vollmer is presently signed up for the National football league Broadcast Bootcamp, situated in Mt. Laurel, Nj Blue Jays Tshirts.
Vollmer, relaxing in the during the above photo, looks nearly unrecognizable from his playing days like a behemoth blocker. That is because he's lost 75 pounds from his 320-pound frame whilst in the league, that they also revealed in the job interview with SiriusXM.
After he was drafted through the Patriots within the second round from the 2009 National football league Draft, Vollmer continued to begin 90 games in the career and it was another-team All-Pro like a right tackle this year.
Not surprisingly, because, obviously, Throne of Ease, New England's offensive lines are still who is fit despite Vollmer's departure. Marcus Cannon, Vollmer's substitute at among the tackle spots last season alongside Nate Solder, was
